Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Mechanical Mate to assist with ongoing mechanical work on a key project in Clapham, London. This is a temporary position lasting 3 months, offering a competitive rate of £18 per hour.

As a Mechanical Mate, you will work alongside skilled tradespeople, providing support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems. The role involves 50 hours of work per week, offering plenty of opportunity for overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist mechanical tradespeople with the installation and repair of mechanical systems.
• Prepare and transport tools and materials to work areas.
• Support with assembling and installing pipework, ductwork, and other mechanical components.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety standards are met.
• Follow instructions from senior team members to ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Carry out general mechanical tasks as required by the team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Mate or in a similar role.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Strong teamwork skills and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
