The Client

Our client is one of the UK’s largest engineering surveyors specialising in land, measured building and underground utility surveys as well as monitoring and site engineering schemes. They have a network of nine offices across the UK, with over 160 surveyors and engineers working on some of the UK’s major construction and infrastructure developments.

The Role

As a Land & Measured Building Surveyor you will work independently completing a full range of small to large scale topographical, measured building and setting out surveys, using innovative technology and processing data to a high working standard. You will be confident working on multi-disciplined survey projects independently and as part of a team, and will have a competent understanding of various surveying methods and data capture.

Responsibilities

  • Complete small to medium scale topographical and measured building surveys independently and to a high standard
  • Complete topographical surveys and measured building surveys, of various scale and complexity, independently to a high standard
  • Work on large and complex surveying projects with team members of various technical ability and experience, to complete the project to a high standard
  • Provide guidance and direction to team members on large and complex survey projects
  • Work effectively on projects with trainee, junior and survey technician level staff, assisting with their development by providing practical experience onsite
  • Process multi data sets from various instrumentation to a high working standard, including topographical and measured building data
  • Demonstrate competent knowledge of traversing and GPS control networks
  • Undertake initial site inspections and complete dynamic risk assessments when attending survey sites, reporting any safety issues to the wider surveying team or to management
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
