We are looking to welcome a Metallurgist to the team and step into a varied role that is sure to test your skills.

Who this job would suit:
This role is ideal for a motivated metallurgist or materials scientist with at least five years of experience in the metal testing and inspection industry. The position suits those with a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. It is perfect for someone looking to apply their technical expertise in a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine metallurgical testing and assessments.
• Perform mechanical testing and equipment validation.
• Prepare metallographic samples, assess findings, and produce technical reports.
• You will utilise a microscope when examining various metal samples to check against specifications, looking for defects, cleanliness, ratios, ingredients, grain size, grain flow & more.
• Validate certificates and documents for accuracy and quality control.
• Support customer queries and liaise with auditors and accreditation bodies.

Requirements.

• Proven Technical experience in Metallurgy
• Ability to utilise microscope when examining various metals for defects
• HND or above preferred, but experience most important
• Full UK driving licence

Location: Bingley
Perm: Competitive (negotiable - dependent on experience)
Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week, 8am-430pm (Mon-Thurs), 8am-3pm (Fri)
