Our client is an established childcare provider company who are looking to expand and grow
 
JOB PURPOSE:
To work as a senior member of the team in the provision of care and support services for children with emotional and challenging behaviours; which aims to maximise the potential of individuals in line with ordinary life principles.
 
May be required to take charge of the service in absence of the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager
 
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a children’s home
  • At least one year experience in a senior position at a children’s home
  • NVQ Level3 in Children and Young People’s workforce
 
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative and work as part of a team
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues relating to people with emotional and challenging behaviours and/or learning difficulties;
  • A commitment to a service which provides support to vulnerable individuals, and which is respectful and according to the individuals’ wishes
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with young people, colleagues, family members, Managers and other persons with a legitimate interest in the project
  • Commitment to training and development
  • Commitment to the aims & objectives of the service and of our client, as a whole

  • You are required to be available for work outside your normal working hours to be on call.

Salary: £31,692.40 – £36,192.40 (This includes an average of 10 sleep-ins per month)
 
Hours: 40 hours per week
 
Rota Pattern: 5-week rolling rota. 2 days on shift and 3 days off pattern
 
£55 paid per sleep-in carried out
 
Overtime rate: £15.41 – £18.11 p.h.
 
Bank Holiday rate: £18.50 – £21.74 p.h.
 
Total add on’s to salary (bonuses):
  • Attendance bonus: £500 for 12 months of no sickness. £250 for 6 months of no sickness.
  • Ofsted bonus: £100 for a good rating. £200 for outstanding rating per year.
  • Refer a friend scheme: Earn up to £400! £100 when they start with the cleint, £100 when they stay with them for 3 months and £200 when the friend passes their probation period.
                Total= £1,000
  • 20 days annual leave + 8 days public holidays (this will increase after 3 & 5 years completed employment with our client.
