An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Rutland County Council.

This is a temporary Social Worker role within the Locality Team.

In this role you will earn up to £38 an hour umbrella, whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment.

Working within the Locality Team includes but is not limited to:

* Holding a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans and Children in Need under Section 17 of the Children's Act of 1989
* Undertaking Initial Assessments under Section 17 of the Children's Act of 1989
* Undertaking Core Assessments and Child Protection Enquiries under Section 47 of the Children's Act of 1989
* Undertaking Pre-Birth and Parenting Assessments under Section 47 of the Children's Act of 1989
* Completion of Section 7 and Section 37 reports requested by Family Courts
* Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes/ to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children
* Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
* Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
* Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans and Care Proceedings
* Completion of Care Proceedings
* Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders
* Chairing Children in Need meetings
* Attending court and giving evidence when required

For this position you will need hold a recognised social work qualification and be SWE registered. Furthermore, you will have at least two years post qualifying experience in statutory child care setting in order to support your ability for this role.
