Our specialist Painting and Coatings Division carries out a wide range of contracts, servicing  many different sectors of the industry. Our work includes refurbishments, new housing, social housing, stripping of lead based paints and many specialist coatings.

Our team of specialist staff are fully conversant with all aspects of the industry, offering many years of experience. We provide a full survey/feasibility study as well as a measuring  service to assist our clients.


Purpose:

  • This role will ensure the client consistently provides clients with the best possible services, by providing a simpler, more efficient route whatever the project.

Key Tasks

  • Effectively manage employees and sub-contractors and assist with the performance of their duties where required
  • Organise each day’s work scheduling including site staff
  • Ensure all stock is available for each job/site daily
  • Maintain a good client relationship
  • Dealing with the Client’s needs and resourcing them adequately
  • Supervision of the workforce and monitoring quality
  • Ordering and delivering stock as necessary
  • Keeping accurate records of materials ordered and labour
  • Attendance and representation at site meetings
  • Producing risk assessments/method statements and ensuring that all workers on site are adhering to the written procedures
  • Regular communication with director and chairman
  • Other such reasonable duties as instructed by the manager/director

Qualifications required:

  • CSCS Card/NVQ Level 2 (as a minimum)
  • SSSTS/SMSTS
  • Experience and knowledge:
  • Experience and knowledge of managing multiple commercial painting contracts
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential – management experience would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate in all Microsoft office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Attitude and skills:
  • Highly organised and professional in approach with a keen eye for detail
  • Assertive and proactive in thinking and approach
  • Robust, committed and commercially minded
  • Flexible and able to adapt to the needs of continuously shifting goals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels both internally and externally
