About:
- Teach and support students with learning disabilities, helping them achieve their educational goals.
- Lead the Preparation for Independence course, design lesson plans, and assess student progress.
- Teach Entry Level and Level 1 English and math, preparing students for functional skills exams.
- Identify and address student learning needs, including managing barriers like ADHD and ASC.
- Monitor and support the achievement of student EHCP targets and collaborate with mentors and specialists to ensure progress.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to track and support student development.
Ideal Candidate:
- Hold a Teaching Qualification Idea
- Hold a SpLD (or commitment to obtaining these).
- Have a strong background in supporting learning and teaching entry-level skills.
- Knowledge of learning difficulties, ability to differentiate teaching, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Attributes: Patient, adaptable, and team-oriented, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting equality and diversity.
- Have a DBS check or willing to get one done
