Think FE is excited to work on a search with a great college in Cambridgeshire in the search for experienced Supported Learning Lecturer.


Salary: £16 - £22/ hour + 12% holiday pay (temp) OR £27,500 - £40,000/ annum (perm)
Location: Cambridgeshire

About: 
  • Teach and support students with learning disabilities, helping them achieve their educational goals.
  • Lead the Preparation for Independence course, design lesson plans, and assess student progress.
  • Teach Entry Level and Level 1 English and math, preparing students for functional skills exams.
  • Identify and address student learning needs, including managing barriers like ADHD and ASC.
  • Monitor and support the achievement of student EHCP targets and collaborate with mentors and specialists to ensure progress.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to track and support student development.

Ideal Candidate: 
  • Hold a Teaching Qualification Idea
  • Hold a SpLD (or commitment to obtaining these).
  • Have a strong background in supporting learning and teaching entry-level skills.
  • Knowledge of learning difficulties, ability to differentiate teaching, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attributes: Patient, adaptable, and team-oriented, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting equality and diversity.
  • Have a DBS check or willing to get one done
