Are you an experienced Buyer looking to make a real impact in a dynamic, cutting-edge engineering company? We're seeking a skilled individual to join our team, where your expertise in procurement and purchasing will play a key role in our continued success.

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of procurement, ensuring that our purchasing processes run smoothly and efficiently. You'll work closely with suppliers to secure the best deals, negotiate contracts, and keep the supply chain moving without a hitch.
 

Responsibilities as a Buyer:

  • Manage end-to-end procurement: Oversee the entire purchasing process from identifying suppliers to ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Responsible for buyer engineering commodities and components including; Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), Electronic Components, Wires and Cables, Electro-Mechanical Subassemblies, Connectors and Terminals, Power Supplies, Switches and Relays, Sensors and Transducers, Fasteners and Mechanical Hardware and Custom Machined Parts.
  • Supplier relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best pricing, terms, and contracts.
  • Monitor inventory levels: Collaborate with production teams to ensure materials and components are available to meet production schedules.
  • Evaluate supplier performance: Regularly assess supplier quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
  • Stay compliant with industry standards: Ensure all purchasing activities meet legal, regulatory, and company-specific requirements.
  • Cost optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs through strategic procurement, without compromising on quality or efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in procurement: A strong background in purchasing within an engineering or manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Excellent negotiation skills: Ability to secure favorable terms and prices while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset: Experience in identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities within the procurement process.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems: Comfortable using ERP software to manage purchasing workflows, track orders, and maintain supplier data.
