Based in East London – Full time (35 hours across 5 days)
£35,000 - £44,000 (depending on experience/qualifications)
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons, supporting learner progression across functional skills English.
- Track learner progression and keep learner records up to date
- Use a range of assessment methods and provide prompt feedback to inspire learners
- Work towards learner retention and qualification achievement rate
- Find innovative and effective ways to prepare learners for examinations
- Promote safety, wellbeing and safeguarding
About you
- Hold Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2) and relevant subject degree
- Hold Teaching Qualification (advantage if Level 5)
- Proven ability to embed English skills and thinking into vocational and industry settings
- Previous experience and success teaching English to FE students or in a similar educational setting (apprentices, adult learners)
- Assertive and confident in learning environment management
- Ambitious and committed to meeting targets, setting standards of behaviour and work
- Empathetic and have excellent communication skills
