My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or advance their career in finance, with a clear path for progression.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to study for professional accounting qualifications, starting with AAT and progressing to ACCA or CIMA, with full study support provided.

You'll work closely with the Management Accountant to gain hands-on experience in a range of financial tasks. While we are happy to train the right person, a desire to learn and an interest in finance are essential.

Duties of Accounts Assistant:

• Produce and issue invoices to customers
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes, including supporting the Management Accountant
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions
• Perform other ad hoc financial tasks as required to support the finance team
• Handle customer queries and follow up where needed

Essential:

• A willingness to work towards accounting qualifications (AAT, progressing to ACCA/CIMA)
• A strong interest in finance and accounting
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Good communication and organisational skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage, but not essential
