Job Purpose

The Cad Cam Programmer/Production Coordinator will be required to support and liaise with the Production Manager, supporting the day to day running of the works. They will help ensure all products are shipped on time and in full and that all necessary documentation is issued in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To assist and support the Production Manager in day-to-day duties involved in running the Works.
  • Machine programming for our Kerf HD Plasma, Messer flame cutting machines and Bystronic laser utilising the company nesting software. Experience is essential although training can be given.
  • Communicate with internal departments (and customers where necessary) regarding order status. Respond effectively to any internal and customer queries/complaints and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Assist the sales department with information to support effective costing through material utilisation and nesting.
  • Ensure that programmes are created in a timely fashion to support production needs.
  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of all production requirements.
  • Produce transport paperwork as and when required - distributing as necessary.
  • When required collate and issue material certification and other quality related contract documentation to clients.
  • Ensure that PODs are maintained for each delivery.
  • Use i-Metal to book in materials purchased, update stock status, issue sales order documents, despatch documents, allocate stock and create invoice requests.
  • Ensure that material stocks are maintained and accurate within the company material database.
  • Perform general office administration.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Production Manager.

This is a permanent role with an excellent package for the right candidate. Hours of work 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 2.00pm Friday.
