As a Fabric Technician, you will be a key member of the Engineering Team, providing essential building fabric services to support our client.

​Your role will involve undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric maintenance tasks across multiple floors, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard.

Job Description

As Fabric Technician, you will be expected to take full responsibility for the delivery of fabric-related tasks, ensuring they meet the contractual requirements and agreed KPIs.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the quality and integrity of the building's fabric, contributing to the smooth operation of the facility and enhancing the overall workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide building fabric task completion on Paddington site and support FM team
  • Complete PPMs and reactive work orders within given timescales and with accurate information
  • Ability to work to detailed maintenance task briefs and procedures
  • Manage the consumables and critical spare parts stock levels for sites, including identifying and updating as appropriate to building fabric maintenance
  • Ensure that the building is maintained in a clean and safe condition
  • Adhere to working practices regarding Safe Systems of Work and appropriate building standards and to provide assistance as required
  • Take responsibility for their own work and to assist as required in the work of others – team ethic is a key component of this role

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • NVQ/C&G OR TIME SERVED Painter and decorator/ Carpenter
  • Time served or City and Guilds apprenticeship in a building discipline such as carpentry, Painting and Decorating etc
  • Other relevant training appropriate to work in a building
    maintenance environment e.g. first aid, MEWP, PASMA
  • Health and Safety Training within a similar environment
  • Knowledge of Asset management / CAFM / use of PDA’s to
    manage workflow
  • Excellent all-round ability in a busy building maintenance team
  • Previous experience working within FM industry including
    management of tasks, closing of work on CAFM system etc
