Teaching Assistant Job Description:

A lovely small mainstream primary school in New Addington is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support their Reception class on a full-time basis, with an immediate start.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities for Reception-aged children.
• Provide 1:1 support and small group interventions to children in early years, ensuring they are meeting developmental milestones.
• Support the personal, social, and emotional development of the pupils in your care.
• Help create a positive and nurturing environment within the classroom, encouraging a love of learning.
• Aid in preparing resources and setting up activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning space for all students.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Previous experience working with Reception-aged children or in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• An understanding of the importance of safeguarding in a school environment.
