The Opportunity
Our client provides the front end design and engineering capability across multiple projects and are looking to grow their team with the appointment of a HVAC Building Services Engineer. Being part of the Team offers a unique opportunity to drive change and innovation in engineering, safety and delivery solutions in one of the most complex industrial sites in the UK if not the world. We are looking for people who are passionate about developing themselves and in meeting new challenges.
The role
As a HVAC Building Servcies Engineer, your role will be to support the HVAC Capability team in all aspects of HVAC and Building Services, preferably with knowledge and experience in nuclear standards and processes, specifically the delivery of the design of HVAC Systems or modification to existing HVAC Systems. Able to be client facing and demonstrate confidence as a subject matter expert hence able to support all stakeholders.
Contract Estimated Duration – 12 months
This role has been deemed inside of IR35.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
- Have experience of working within Building Services engineering design consultancy practice.
- Design of Ventilation systems from basic principles and an understanding of containment philosophy
- Experience in the production of HVAC system design deliverables, specifying heat rejection plant (eg. air / water cooled condensers, heat pumps and heat recovery systems of varying types. The design of HVAC systems for cooling industrial process environments.
- Production of system schematics / Engineering Flow Diagrams (EFDs).
- Able to produce and check psychrometric calculations.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role/environment.
- Degree in Building Services Engineering.
- Experience in the Use of industry standard software such as Hevacomp, Revit and Pipenet.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role/environment.
- An understanding of AutoCAD packages and its capabilities.
