Maintenance Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities
To carry out repairs and Machine strip downs and rebuilds on mechanical equipment.
To undertake mechanical fault finding on pumps, gearboxes, lathes, grinding machines, boring machines.
Planned and preventive maintenance and mechanical installation including pipe fitting and machine moves.
Accurately record maintenance tasks using the maintenance system.
Escalate any faults including estimated time of recovery and to provide regular progress updates to the facilities manager.
To perform out of hours working to support critical maintenance, Breakdowns and project work as required.
Work with sub-contractors to assist with maintenance, repairs and modifications to plant and equipment.
Assist with the ordering and replenishment of parts and components.
Qualifications
• Excellent analytical, fault finding and problem-solving skills.
• Cost conscious and able to work to budget.
• Well-versed in either CAD, MS Office or MS Project.
Previous Experience
• Proven relevant experience working within maintenance or repairs engineer role.
• A strong knowledge of electrical systems (both single and three phase).
• Mechanical experience of maintaining plant equipment is desirable.
• Experience undertaking general fabrication work (mechanical and electrical).
