CAD Technician (Multi-Utility Projects)

Salary/Rate:
£28,000 - £40,000/annum Hybrid Working

The Client:
A national multi-utility connections company, partnering with top UK commercial construction firms, local authorities, housing associations, and national housebuilders.

Main Purpose:
As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for creating site as-laid drawings, designs, and technical drawings related to multi-utility projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce CAD drawings for electricity, gas, water, and site investigations
  • Maintain drawing logs and project trackers
  • Keep electronic filing systems up to date with the latest documents
  • Request and process design information from developers
  • Handle MPAN’s, MPRN’s, BCA’s, SoW’s, adoption agreements, and legal updates
  • Identify and resolve problems, escalating when necessary
  • Support design and project completion teams with ad-hoc duties
  • Attend sites to survey utilities and resolve issues

Initial Tasks:

  • Produce CAD as-laid drawings
  • Create tender drawings (training provided)
  • Produce draft design drawings (training provided)

Relationship Building:

  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Experience in the multi-utility industry (desirable)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (desirable)
  • Familiarity with winDEBUT (desirable)
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
