Job Summary

Working within the Medical and Clinical Affairs organization, the Medical Writer will be primarily responsible for the preparation of clinical evidence communication materials to support global products with a focus on Ostomy Care. The development and dissemination of clinical evidence may include publications, conference abstracts/posters/presentations, and a variety of marketing collaterals including training materials. The successful Medical Writer will engage cross-functional internal teams as well as external Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to create best-fit clinical evidence across our treatment solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop manuscripts, conference/congress content, and marketing collaterals such as infographics and white papers
  • Prepare data and/or publication summaries for HCPs, patients, and internal sales team trainings
  • Advise and implement best practices in the publication process for internal and external contributors
  • Perform literature searches and reviews to support clinical study design, strategic decision making, new technologies

Travel Requirements

This is a remote role with limited travel requirements. Travel within country may include quarterly team meetings at company facilities and/or relevant scientific conferences. This role may involve limited international travel, maximum twice per year.

About You

  • BSc + 3-5 years' relevant experience OR MSc + 1-2 years' relevant experience OR PhD or equivalent in an appropriate subject
  • Experience in writing medical communications and/or publications
  • Trained in Good Publication Practice and ICMJE guidance
  • Knowledge of medical device/pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of PubMed and/or Embase
