Position: Estimator
Location: Cardiff
Salary: >£65k + package
This is a great opportunity for an Estimator to join our Construction client to ensure the smooth running of projects from beginning to end.
The Estimator will be responsible for:
- Co-ordinate the tender process in a timely fashion
- Accurate measurement using both CAD measure & manual measures
- Production of tenders using Estimating Software System
- Produce an accurate prime cost for the project.
- Develop relationships with the design team and clients
- Develop relationships, quality, and the range of the supply chain
- Identification of areas of risk and opportunity
- Highlight conflict and deficiencies within contract documentation
- Produce the Estimating handover information
- Support and promote collaborative working both internally & externally
- Maintain a level of technical expertise
- Maintain current cost data
- Obtain feedback from the construction departments on tenders
- Be pro-active in resolving queries and technical issues
- Strive for continuous improvement in both technical ability and financial acumen.
- Safeguard the company against risk through identification and elimination
- Accuracy and reliability of scheme measures.
