Mechanical Design Engineer

Red Rock Consultants are currently working with a leading mechanical services contractor.

They are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

This role is fully office-based at their Bromsgrove location.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical solutions for a variety of projects, working closely with the in-house teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems for commercial and industrial projects.
• Produce detailed design drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure designs are implemented effectively.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analysis for new projects.
• Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and ensure satisfaction.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, preferably in a mechanical services or building services environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
