A market leading, investing and growing FMCG Food Manufacturer based in Deeside is currently recruiting for a Distribution Manager / Distribution & Logistics Manager to join the team. This role will require a Distribution leader with a calm approach, a people person to lead a senior leadership team across E-commerce, Distribution, Warehouse & Planning. 
This business supply a diverse range of market channels, with particular attention to multiple grocers, retail eCommerce (FMCG) and export. 

This role would suit someone with a 3PL Operations / Distribution Management background and ideally with chilled streams. Located on 30,000 sq ft with 3PL seasonal warehousing and logistics support

Distribution Operations Manager / Distribution Logistics Manager key responsibilities:

• Lead a Senior team including: Head of Planning, Head of E-Commerce
• Own the annual plan to ensure seamless delivery and ensure that the operational elements of the business enable the sales & marketing team to maximise sales opportunities.
• Especially deliver for the eCommerce Retail Business Unit head of strategy and operating team.
• Ensure day-to-day operational matters are addressed from start to finish, especially Q4 staffing roster, including reserve resource whilst having foresight of the longer-term business horizon.
• Maintain the highest standards of excellence in safety, quality, and hygiene to ensure customer orders are to specification and received on time, ensuring compliance to BRC and export regulations.
• Particular attention to detail for Branded eCommerce high value consumer orders.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external suppliers including logistics partners, ensuring contractual and service requirements are delivered, supported by director led corporate negotiation.
• Intense management of courier shipping providers, delivering to significant performance metrics.
• Accountable for effective stock management receiving this from our own manufacture facilities, effective warehouse organisation, ensuring food traceability is maintained, and managing on a FIFO basis.
• Manage the whole connectivity of the operational facility with special attention to sourcing, training and supervising colleagues.
• Providing visibility of accurate management information and KPIs to galvanise the team in the business, driving attention to detail and communicating the right information to different audiences.

You will be a Distribution Operations Manager ideally with 3PL and chilled experience used to working as a calm leader in a complex, fast paced facility.

This role will need to be a highly experienced Operations Manager with a focus on effectively coaching your team to do their best work, injecting pace and dynamism into the facility and a straight forward communicator with a proven delivery in setting and achieving KPIs.
