Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Biomass company within the Power Sector to recruit a Maintenance Manager for its site in Suffolk.

The Maintenance Manager role comes with a starting salary of up to £65,000 + benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Plant Manager you will be responsible for:

• Leading a team of multi-discipline technicians, providing technical support, guidance and direction.
• Managing the short-term and long-term maintenance objectives for site.
• Having responsibility for the maintenance budget for site, ensuring its alignment with the sites business plan.
• Coordinating, planning and managing all outages on site, including liaising with external contractors as required.
• Managing the procurement of goods and services within responsibility area.
• Managing the adoption on site of the latest technologies in plant condition monitoring and compliance.
• Supporting with the execution of the HSE Management System.
• Assist the Financial Controller with detailing and communicating all maintenance costs.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• HNC or equivalent qualification in relevant engineering discipline, preference for mechanical bias but EC&I also considered.
• A NEBOSH certificate would be highly beneficial.
• A management qualification (level 3 or above) would be highly beneficial
• 5 years' experience working in power generation or similar sector.

The Maintenance Manager role would suit someone who is:

• Able to work outside of hours, ad-hoc as site requirements dictate.
