Role details:
Our client, a prominent player in the Defence and Security sector, is looking for a Systems Engineer to complete the design, development and integration of networked based security systems for a key strategic product. This role can be based at either their Basildon or Southampton sites with hybrid working opportunities. The initial contract duration is 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and integrating network-based security systems for a strategic product
• Developing and delivering key integrated networked systems
• Assisting with platform integration and testing
• Completing lab testing, documentation, and delivery of the systems
• Integrating the system onto the platform and validating subsystem inter-operation for customer delivery
• Engaging in other aspects of complex systems projects to support long-term business opportunities
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build consensus and deliver project objectives

• Experience in IT networking, systems integration, firewall management, and network security
• Strong understanding of IP Networking, including router, switching, and firewalling
• Knowledge of security disciplines within the defence and security sector
• Familiarity with the System Engineer life cycle
