This role is pivotal in supporting the continued growth and profitability through precise and efficient estimating practices.

Role of the Estimator:

As an Estimator, your primary focus will be on the accurate and timely estimating of  light steel frame (LSF) supply and installation services. You will also handle estimates for other products and services, ensuring quotations are competitive and reflective of project requirements. You will be a point of contact for both new and existing clients, ensuring all pricing and tendering activities meet the company's standards. In this role, you’ll also guide junior estimators and contribute to product and service innovation within the company.

Key Responsibilities of the Estimator:

• Responsible for estimating the supply and installation of LSF systems.
• Manage estimates for all other services and products offered by the company 
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding estimates, pricing, and tenders
• Assist in the expansion of company offerings by contributing ideas for new products and service improvements.
• Ensure the estimating process is efficient and accurate, minimising errors and optimising profitability.

Day-to-Day Duties:

• Log, maintain, and update tender enquiries.
• Prepare quotes in line with company standards, gathering necessary data from proposals, specifications, and documentation.
• Work closely with the Commercial team to ensure pricing reflects actual site costs.
• Prepare take-offs, bills of quantities, and technical reviews for accurate pricing.
• Communicate with clients throughout the tender process, ensuring all quotes are delivered in a timely manner.
• Work with suppliers to obtain accurate pricing for materials and services.
• Maintain accurate records of quotes, including analysis of wins and losses.

Estimator Profile:

• Proven experience in estimating within the construction or related industries
• Strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with light steel frame construction is highly desirable
• Detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
