SEMH/Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Location: Croydon
Salary: £95 - £100 per day PAYE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated SEMH/Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing team, working with primary-aged pupils who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties.

About the school – This school provides a supportive environment tailored to the individual needs of Primary aged students, many of whom have additional challenges, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Speech and Language Difficulties, ADHD, and Severe Social Anxieties. They take pride in their holistic approach to education, which integrates therapy disciplines such as play, music, drama, art, family therapy, and Lego therapy.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs and associated challenging behaviour.
  • Work within a nurture model, ensuring high staff-to-pupil ratios for individualised learning.
  • Assist in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to each pupil's interests and aptitudes.
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages social development and emotional well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH needs, is desirable.
