A fabulous opportunity for an Engineering Graduate that has a passion for project management & engineering or a candidate that is keen to pursue a career within project management that has experience within an engineering bias.

This role is a great opportunity for the right person who will receive support and training as in the long term will progress within the organisation to become a Project Manager.

Role:

You will be required to support five project managers with running of complex automation projects, with the targeted progression to take on small works projects and move into a project engineering role.  You will liaise with PM’s, Technical Engineers, the procurement department and site teams during project phases.

Responsibilities:

  •  Process “Bill of materials” for procurement after design release, considering current stock levels.
  •  Update resource planner as per project timing plans, highlighting conflicts to the relevant PM’s.
  • Liaise with sub-contract labour suppliers to confirm availability for upcoming resource requirements.
  •  To take meeting minutes and follow-up actions.
  •  Monitor project invoicing milestones and issue summary report to PM’s.
  •  Support installations with procurement requirements/updates.
  •  Prepare RAMS for site installations.
  • Track and compile project final documentation package for delivery.
  •  Process change requests for on-going projects through design, procurement and kitting.

Essential knowledge & experience: 

  • Administration

Desirable knowledge & experience:

  • Electrical experience/qualification
  • Project management exposure

Technical competencies:

  • MS Office (Advanced level)
  • Microsoft Project (Intermediate)
  • Eplan (preferred not essential)

Please be aware that there will be some weekend working, some working away from home as required - estimated 80% based in Bedford and 20% on site.
