SEN Teaching Assistant – SEN School – All-through – Merton - £85 to £100 per day – Full time – Starting ASAP

  • SEN Teaching Assistant based around Merton.
  • SEN Teaching Assistant available to start ASAP.
  • SEN Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management skills.
  • Experience within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) environment would be ideal; however, a sports coaching background is also desirable.

The Position – SEN Teaching Assistant

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting teachers with general classroom duties, to pupils aged 5 – 16. The children have a variety of SEMH needs, including ADHD, trauma, plus speech, language and communication needs. Therefore, previous experience with the needs mentioned is essential to succeeding. Also, a background in sports coaching would be advantageous, to act as a role model to the students.

This SEN School has a Ofsted rating of Good as of 2018. The school caters to a total of 117 pupils, with varying SEMH needs, taught in small-sized classes. The school is based in Merton, with several transport links for public commuters, including buses, the Northern Line and Tram services.
