Overview:

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage the allocation of engineering resources across a variety of projects. You will ensure effective planning and distribution of resources to support key programmes, playing a central role in helping the organisation achieve its project objectives.

As part of this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise resource management processes and ensure efficient use of engineering capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage resource demand data, forecasting engineering supply to meet upcoming project needs.
  • Collaborate with programme and engineering teams to prioritise and allocate resources for successful project outcomes.
  • Identify and drive process improvements to boost efficiency in resource allocation and management.
  • Develop and share regular management reports using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, JIRA, and QlikSense to provide clear visibility on resource utilisation.
  • Ensure resource alignment with business development and financial planning objectives.
  • Improve productivity by offering accurate resource information and identifying opportunities to optimise resource use.
  • Support the onboarding of new engineers and create development plans to track their progress.
  • Identify and address training and development needs within the engineering team.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing resources in a complex organisation.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, with experience engaging with senior management.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling and resource planning.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools such as Power BI and Excel.
  • Experience working under tight deadlines in challenging environments.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, JIRA, and QlikSense is desirable.
