Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Supply Desk is offering an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant based in Chesham. This role is ideal for those eager to make a positive impact within a supportive and nurturing environment.

The Role/Responsibilities:

• Provide patient and nurturing support to children with complex learning difficulties.
• Effectively communicate with parents and teachers, offering behavioural and emotional assistance.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored support for students with challenging behaviour.
• Support SEN pupils in one-to-one, small group, and classroom settings, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
• Implement and contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Bring creativity and innovation to lessons, making learning engaging and enjoyable.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
• Adhere to child protection, health, safety, and confidentiality policies, reporting concerns appropriately.
• Assist with pupil supervision before and after school and during breaks.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong knowledge of SEN and a passion for supporting student growth.
• NVQ in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (unqualified candidates are also welcome to apply).
• Experience in supporting the social and emotional development of children.
• Enthusiastic, dedicated, and committed to making a positive difference in students’ lives.
• Able to commute to Chesham.
• Current valid DBS or willingness to obtain one.
