The Best Connection are seeking Class 1 drivers for our retail client in South Elmsall, WF9.

Role 1;

The role involves day time store deliveries to customer's own stores across the region. Product is loaded in tubs and palletised. The driver will be required to offload the pallets and reload with any returns which are been sent back from the store. There will also be other runs available which cover Intersite movements around the local sites and also runs to make collections from customer suppliers which are live loaded.

Role 2;

The role involves trunking to the customers own Regional service centres across the country and also to their third party partners depots nationwide. The trailers are preloaded prior to dispatch and are on a tip and turn basis which is managed by the receiving depot. The start times for this role varies between 17:00hrs and 02:00hrs.

Role 3;

Same as above to suit drivers who prefer to work on a weekend basis and would like to work a Friday to Sunday shift pattern and prefer the trunking work.

Drivers must have a Class 1 licence with an in date CPC and Digi card with no more than 6 licence points, with no major endorsements.

An induction is required, which includes a knowledge check on drivers hours, tacho laws and highway code along with a driving assessment, to include coupling and uncoupling and maneuvering/reversing. Following 2 days induction, drivers will be buddied up with a permanent driver to learn the paperwork and process for when completing lone deliveries.

There are numerous shifts available on days and nights.

Excellent pay rates on offer, all PAYE with holiday accrual on top and ONLY 30min BREAK DEDUCTED PER SHIFT;

£16.85 per hour (0600 - 2200)
£19.85 per hour (2200 - 0600 Sunday to Thursday and 0600 - 2200 Saturday)
£22.85 per hour (2200 - 0600 Friday and 0600 - 2200 Sunday)
£24.85 per hour (2200 - 0600 Saturday)
Overtime is x1.33 of basic rate when weekly hours are completed (42/45 depending on rota)
£33.70 per hour Bank Holidays
