Job Title: Software QA Tester - Playwright, Selenium & C#/Python
Location: London/Hybrid - 2 days per week in London but possibility to work remotely 
Salary/Rate: Up to £500/day INSIDE IR35

Company Introduction

Coltech is partnered with a prestigious consultancy client who are looking for an experienced QA Tester to join their team for a 12 month contract.

The ideal candidate will have background experience in Oil and Gas/Commodities (not mandatory but it's desired) with strong proficiency in Automation Testing (Playwright, Selenium, C#/Python)

It is a non-lead role. It will be individual contributor role with hands-on coding experience.

Required Skills/Experience

1. Automation Testing expertise (Playwright, Selenium C#/Python)
2. Proven track record of testing experience
3. Ability to strategize End-to-End (E2E) automation testing
4. Hands-on experience in Azure DevOps and Test Management Tools
5. Experience with various testing types (Unit, Functional, Integration, UAT, etc.)
6. Hands-on troubleshooting and framework implementation
7. Willingness to do hands-on testing
8. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
9. Agile working experience
10. Knowledge of test automation throughout product lifecycle

Job Responsibilities/Skills 

1. Automation Testing expertise and Hands on experience is mandatory (Playwright, Selenium C#/Python)

2. Ability to strategize E2E automation testing

3. Experienced in Azure DevOps and setting up Test Management Tools related to requirements traceability, test plans, test labs, and defects management.
4. Experienced in various types of testing – support for Unit, Smoke/Sanity, Functional, System, SIT, Integration, regression, support UAT etc
5. Advise on implementation of automated testing to ensure clean and scalable framework design which can be applied in a generic way across multiple projects and streams.
6. Troubleshoot issues with team members implementing test frameworks and guide with a 'hands on' approach where necessary
7. Should be willing to do hands-on testing as and when required
8. Working closely with Product Managers, developers, business analysts, designers and testers to understand requirements and translate to effective test frameworks.
9. High level of familiarity with testing at strategy level and able to provide advice rooted in theory and experience with respect to Functional, Regression, Interface testing and support for UAT
10. Ability to automate tests throughout the entire lifecycle of the product and data flows, from ingestion through to the presentation layer.
11. Ability to plan and strategize testing for complex systems. This Involves planning scope of testing, Release/Sprint planning, resource planning, overall planning for E2E testing activities
12. Ability to advise on implementation of automated testing to ensure clean and scalable framework design which can be applied in a generic way across multiple projects and streams.
13. Capable of designing and execution of detailed functional test cases for complex requirements
14. Proactive and Organized, Capable of working in an ambiguous/uncertain environment, understanding risks & flagging it on time. Ability to mitigate risks and ensuring quality deliverables adhering to timelines.
15. Excellent Communication, Coordination skills and Stakeholder management
16. Highly experienced in Agile ways of working
