We are currently recruiting for an experienced Tax Manager on behalf of a well-established and progressive firm of accountants based in North West London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team, offering a broad range of services including accounting, tax, audit, payroll, financial planning, and business consultancy.

Salary: £55k-£75k (depending on experience)



About the Role:

As a Tax Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the firm's tax department, working with a variety of clients including owner-managed businesses, SMEs, start-ups, and UK subsidiaries of international groups. The role offers a great mix of tax compliance and advisory work, giving you the opportunity to develop your career in a client-facing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Assisting in the overall management of the tax department, supporting the partner in charge.
Supervising and mentoring team members, ensuring high standards of service and technical accuracy.
Planning and reviewing compliance work, managing tax staff workloads.
Reviewing tax compliance files, ready for submission to HMRC.
Handling complex tax matters such as Capital Gains, Trust, and Inheritance Tax.
Managing and enhancing client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for tax planning.
Supporting the growth and marketing of the tax departments services.
Ensuring compliance with ICAEW Practice Assurance Standards.
Working with partners to ensure fee recoveries on assignments.

Technical Skills & Requirements:

Strong working knowledge of tax software (CorTAX, CCH Personal Tax, and Central).
Competency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Proven experience in tax compliance and advisory work within a professional services environment.
Ability to manage client relationships and provide strategic tax advice.
