Senior Interaction Designer
Outside IR35
Location: Newcastle - 2 Days a week in the office
Clearance: BPSS
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Interaction Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging, user-friendly interfaces and experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet both user needs and business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and iterate interaction design concepts based on user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and detailed design specifications to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and validate solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of designs.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practises in interaction design.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and guidelines.
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in interaction design or a related role.
- Proven experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and detailed design documentation.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of interaction design projects and processes.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and guidelines.
