Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with UK educational experience to join our vibrant school community in Barnstaple. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students and helping to create a positive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons
• Providing one-on-one support to students who need extra help
• Supporting students with special educational needs
• Helping to manage classroom behaviour
• Preparing classroom materials and resources
• Supervising students during breaks and lunchtimes
• Assisting with school events and activities

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK school
• A strong understanding of the UK education system
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development (desirable but not essential)
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
