A well-established growing special-purpose machinery manufacturer
The Role
My client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team. Reporting to the engineering director, you will bring customers' automated/special-purpose machinery designs to life. My client works across several sectors predominantly FMCG sectors. The role will involve occasionally visiting clients.
Duties:
Design and development of new and existing components/products
Conceptual Design
Conceptualising new automation solutions
Detailing existing designs
Site layout design
Producing BoMs to accompany all designs
Project management
Ownership of certain customers' projects
Ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and in a timely fashion
The Candidate
A background in designing special purpose machinery design
Holds an engineering qualification
Has a strong understanding of manufacturing industries/process
Comfortable working with customers/suppliers
Experience working with 3D CAD
Able to work and travel in the UK with no restrictions now or in the future
The Package
The salary offered for this position is £35,000- £50,000 plus benefits to candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
