The Role

  • Lead a team of three, including two production planners and one materials purchaser, while effectively influencing stakeholders both within and beyond the Stalybridge operation.
  • Find win-win solutions for internal operations and customers to minimize cost where possible, whilst improving customer OTIF.
  • Balance loadings and manage offload/transfer work from other sites as appropriate.
  • Contribute to setting Stalybridge’s operational, sales, and capacity strategy.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end production processes, from raw materials to finished goods.
  • Collaborate with the sales teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and align production plans accordingly.
  • Analyse large amounts of production and operational data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
  • Promote a climate of continuous improvement and employee motivation and involvement at all levels, by participation in SKOPE.
