Deputy Manager Children's

£32,000 - £34,000/annum

Atrium Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of a client for the role of Deputy Manager at a children's residential home. We are seeking an experienced individual to work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the home, with a focus on providing high-quality care. Experience supporting children with learning disabilities (LD) is preferred.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
·Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
·Lead, motivate, and guide the care team, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
·Ensure the care provided meets individual needs and complies with all relevant regulations.
·Regularly assess and update care plans to maintain their effectiveness.
·Assist with staff development through training and performance management.
·Handle complaints and concerns to ensure the well-being of the children and satisfaction of their families.
·Collaborate with the Registered Manager on budgeting, staff rotas, and resource allocation.
·Act as the Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth continuity of leadership and care.
 
Qualifications and Experience:
 
·NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential or an equivalent qualification.
·Proven experience in a similar role.
·Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and compliance requirements.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with children, families, and staff.
·Organisational skills, compassion, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of children.
