My Client are recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Water Sector

They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and support to deliver clean and wastewater projects for the UK's largest water company, Thames Water.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will:

  • Lead and manage the mechanical engineering aspects of design and build projects in the water sector for Thames Water, ensuring successful project delivery from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, UK water industry standards and industry best practices.
  • Utilise your extensive knowledge and experience in the water sector to provide expert technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews of mechanical designs, calculations, and specifications ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.

Candidate Specification :

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field or similar.
  • Extensive experience working in the UK water sector, including hands-on experience in the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and related infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of the Designer and Principal Designer duties under CDM2015 is essential
