Administration Assistant

Tewkesbury. 3 month contract.

£12.80/£13.24 per hour doe.

Our client has a vacancy for an experienced Administrator to join the team for approx. 3 months in their planning department. General duties will include the administration of planning applications and appeals and assisting in dealing with customer enquiries. Full training will be provided but candidates will need to be confident with dealing with telephone enquiries and have experience of providing administration support.

Key duties:

  • To assist with the processing of planning and related applications, including registration, validation, consultation, revisions/amendments, decision and the discharge of planning conditions.
  • To assist with administration of the planning committee
  • To assist with the administration of appeals
  • To maintain statutory registers in accordance with the section’s records retention policy.
  • To assist with the registration of pre-application requests and enquiries and providing support with research for enquiry responses and respond to frequently asked general enquiries.
  • To provide support to Development Management Officers.
  • To assist in the processing of tree preservation orders
  • To provide support to the Planning Policy team to include making available planning history records and recording of consultation responses
  • To assist with the administration of Section 106 agreements, CIL and planning conditions.
  • To undertake routine administrative tasks such as post opening, scanning, file search requests, copy requests, filing and photocopying.
  • Assisting with enquiries from customers and colleagues via telephone, email and in person.
  • To assist with answering planning questions on Local Land Charge searches.
  • To assist with the administration of Local Land Charge searches and personal search requests.

Hours 8.30-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30-4pm Friday with half hour lunch break. Flex and hybrid available after initial training period.
