HVDC Grid Code Expert required for a major transmission system developer based in France
Responsibilities
- Comparative reports of HVDC grid codes
- Recommendation to refine non exhaustive requirements
- Proposal of technical studies to validate performances
- Provide technical employer specifications for power electronics-based asset
- Provide technical support as internal owner's engineer/assistance to the project execution team during procurement, design, construction and commissioning phases of power electronics-based assets (e.g.: HVDC Link)
- Provide expertise notably on:
- Valve submodules
- HVDC C&P
- System design
- HVA/C & cooling for converter valves
- Supervise the maintenance of power electronics-based equipment and perform high value added tasks on critical equipment
- Define the asset management policy for power electronics-based equipment
Requirements
- Experience in the conceptual design of HVDC converter stations
- Knowledge in high voltage engineering and design, including converter station specific equipment such as valve submodules
- Experience with design studies and their interfaces: dynamic studies, harmonics, etc
- Fluent in English and French
