We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Whittlesey Transport team in the position of Transport Administrator for a fixed term contract for up to 9 months ending July 2025.

The position is working within a small team to fulfil the administration function within the transport department. The role will include a variety of tasks to assist management to ensure that the drivers and haulage fleet is compliant with both legal and accreditation rules.

Your duties would include but not limited to the following:

  • All elements of administration support for Transport Managers
  • Maintaining a robust system for checking and storage of Proof of Delivery documentation
  • Maintaining vehicle records to ensure compliance with Operator Licence undertakings
  • Liaising with service providers in relation to provision / renewal of Company cars & vans
  • Purchase order input onto purchasing system
  • Liaising with Fleet Insurance provider & maintaining the MID insurance database
  • Administer all driving fines & penalty charges issued against Forterra
  • Provide analytical / statistical information for the Transport Managers
  • Assisting in payment queries & hauliers compliance

About You:

  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Confident & outgoing personality
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and MS teams
