Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant in East Ham

This rewarding role will have you working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, supporting students with severe autism, learning difficulties, and physical difficulties.

We are seeking a highly experienced candidate who is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children with special educational needs (SEN). This role will involve personal care, and we are pleased to offer full training to ensure you feel confident in your responsibilities. Please note that we can only consider candidates with previous personal or professional experience in SEN, and prior experience in teaching assistance is highly beneficial.

Daily Duties:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with severe autism, learning difficulties, and physical difficulties.
- Assist with personal care tasks as required, ensuring the dignity and comfort of each student.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies tailored to each student's needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to monitor student progress and adapt support as needed.
- Assist in the development of life skills and independence for students in a safe and supportive manner.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN.
