Mechanical Technician – Glasgow

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join a fast-moving industrial environment in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in maintenance and mechanical fault diagnosis, ready to bring their expertise to a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and unplanned maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation in a fast-paced industrial setting.
  • Achieve maintenance targets while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.
  • Supervise contractors and collaborate with various teams as necessary.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and apply creative problem-solving skills.
  • Conduct regular plant and area safety inspections.
  • Utilize the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to log and report all activities promptly.

Requirements:

  • A demonstrable no-compromise approach to Health & Safety legislation, ideally in a process or power industry.
  • Engineering qualifications such as City & Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent), including a recognized apprenticeship.

Benefits Package:

  • Salary: £45,774
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)
  • Call Out: 1 in 4 weekends
  • Bonus: Up to 10% annually
