As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining the electrical infrastructure of the site. You will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems operate efficiently, comply with regulations, and meet the stadium’s operational needs. This is a dynamic role that involves working in a high-profile environment, managing both routine and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in a timely manner to minimize disruption to stadium operations.
  • Install, test, and commission new electrical systems as needed.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards, regulations, and policies, including Health & Safety (H&S) and NICEIC standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including inspections, repairs, and installations.
  • Liaise with stadium management, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure smooth operation of electrical services.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs and breakdowns, ensuring rapid resolution to avoid operational downtime.
  • Assist in energy efficiency initiatives by identifying opportunities for improvements in electrical systems.
  • Provide technical support and advice to the on-site maintenance team.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • City and Guilds 2365 Design & Verification is desired
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within a large, high-profile venue or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, testing equipment, and fault-finding techniques.
  • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety practices and risk assessments.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
