A well-established, family-run business is looking for a HR Advisor to join the team in Lostwithel. You will be working Monday-Friday, with flexible working hours/hybrid working available.

As HR Advisor, you will: 
  • Be the first port of call for any HR queries
  • Provide advice and support on HR policies and procedures.
  • Issue contracts
  • Complete staff onboarding
  • Manage the recruitment inbox/Indeed account and send on job applications to relevant managers.
  • Screen candidates, schedule interviews for managers and send rejection emails to unsuccessful applicants
  • File/scan documents to personnel files
  • Produce reports and KPI’s
  • Participate in and/or assist with project work
  • Advise and support managers through informal and formal employee relations processes and assist at formal meetings and hearings.
  • General ad hoc administrative duties
The ideal HR Advisor will be: 
  • Someone with HR experience in a similar role
  • Someone with detailed and up to date knowledge of employment law, case law, and good employment practice.
  • Working towards a CIPD qualification or in possession of one
  • Someone who is proficient with Microsoft packages
  • Someone with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Someone who has a confidential approach to sensitive information
  • Used to prioritising own workload and meeting expectations
  • Someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills and organisational skills
  • Proactive and able to use initiative and work under minimum supervision
