Following on from a significant period of growth, my client is on the lookout for multiple machine operators/setters to join their team. My client is a market leader within packaging and operate globally.

 This is an extremely exciting time to join the business, where they offer competitive benefits and ample opportunities for growth and development.

You will work 3x 12-hour shifts a week, alternating between days and nights on a weekly basis. They also offer a 7-week holiday allowance!!

The Role

  • Expected to ‘set’ and ‘run’ a machine as required, with the purpose of maximising shift output
  • Ability to set and run all folding machines and all formats of leaflets
  • Work to the agreed Quality levels and achieve the department quality targets
  • When required, offer practical advice (troubleshoot) on machine and other finishing related matters

The Person

  • Experience operating/setting machinery in a production/manufacturing background such as print, food, pharmaceutical, plastic etc.
  • Mechanically minded
  • Computer literate
  • Good attention to detail
  • Flexible regarding overtime to cover sickness and holidays.

Salary

The starting salary for this role is £28,000 and rises slightly after probation.
