About the role:

A Senior Civil Drainage Engineer is needed to design sustainable drainage systems, wastewater networks, water distribution systems, conduct hydrological studies, and manage flood risk. The job is in the Dublin office and allows for a hybrid work schedule of three days in the office and two days at home.

Requirements:

· At least 5 years of relevant design experience.

· Recognised Bachelor's of Engineering Degree (FETAC Level 8).

· Experience designing drainage systems and knowledge of IW Codes of Practice,       CIRIA C753, and GDSDS.

· Proficient in drainage modeling software, such as Micro Drainage and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

· Experience assessing flood risk according to The Planning System and Flood Risk by    OPW.

· Ability to explain design ideas clearly to team members and non-technical audiences.

· Experience leading projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

· Build and maintain good relationships with clients and explain design ideas clearly to     everyone involved.

· Assist with procurement, assess tenders, and oversee projects for successful       completion.

· Design sustainable drainage systems and flood control plans per industry standards.

· Stay current with industry trends and pursue Chartered Engineer status.

· Utilise drainage modeling software and GIS data for design and analysis.

· Draft project reports and documents, including proposals and assessments.

· Promote and apply sustainable design practices in all projects.
