Class 1 Driver

Driver Hire are recruiting Class 1 Drivers with flat bed experience on behalf of their client based in Worksop

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle, primarily flatbed trucks, as well as ratchet & strap to deliver goods to clients across various locations.
• Secure loads correctly and ensure the safe transportation of materials.
• Perform vehicle checks before and after each shift, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
• Maintain excellent customer service at all times while on delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
• Load and unload materials where required, using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and working hours.
• Work as part of a team but also independently when needed.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license.
• Proven experience operating flatbed vehicles.
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
• Driver Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to safely secure and transport various types of loads.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to safety and reliability.
• Flexibility to work additional hours when required.
