Class 2 Tanker Driver (Non ADR) - Avonmouth Depot (Temp to Perm)
Driver Hire Bristol is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading fuel distribution company within the Logistic industry. We are looking for a Class 2 Tanker Driver (Non ADR) to join their team at the Avonmouth depot for the delivery of wood pellets to commercial and residential customers throughout the southwest.

This is a Temp to Perm opportunity with the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidates. Our client values hard work and dedication and offers great incentives for those who deliver on their commitment.

The Role:

Delivering wood pellets for heating to customers using 8, 6, or 4-wheeled manual tankers.
No ADR qualification required.
Manual DAF tankers (65 plate registration) with manual gearboxes.
Full training provided.
Some manual handling required, with drivers supplied with a half-mask respirator for dust protection during loading.
Occasional nights out, subsidised at £30 per night.

Hours & Pay:

Basic hours: Monday to Friday, 0700 to 1645 (47 hours per week).
Overtime available, particularly during winter months.
Saturday work is rare, only required during peak periods.
Basic salary: £37,000 (reviewed every January).
Winter retention bonus: £3,000 for permanent employees.
Performance-related bonuses available.

Requirements:

Valid Class 2 licence with in-date Tacho and CPC.
Experience with manual gearboxes is essential.
Physically fit and comfortable working in potentially dusty environments.
Flexibility for occasional nights out.
Tanker experience is a bonus but not essential.
