ASC Teaching Assistant - Wigan:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Level 2 qualified teaching assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with ASC on a 1-2-1 basis, at a mainstream school near Wigan. To be successful in this role, you must be committed to working Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• 1-2-1 support
• Providing personal care, including nappy changes
• Supervising and redirecting to encourage positive behaviour
• Providing sensory-friendly activities
• Building rapport with pupils, parents and staff

Key Requirements:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher is essential
• Up to date Safeguarding certificate in the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
• Good general curriciulum knowledge

Position Details:

• Location: Wigan
• Job Role: 1-1 SEN teaching assistant
• Minimum rate of pay: £100 per day, dependant on experience
• Hours: 8am-4pm
• Type of work: Full time
• Start date: ASAP
• End date: Ongoing
• Type of Work: Temporary

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
