As an experienced Buyer you will effectively manage material on behalf of the business. Managing the sourcing and purchasing of direct and indirect material, determining quantity and timing of deliveries to meet production dates.

Location - Aberdare

Salary - £30k - £35k per annum

Hours of work - 39 hours per week. 7.45-4.30 Monday to Thursday. 7.45 to 1pm on Friday

Duties of a Buyer

• Reviewing of technical specifications for materials in order to source correct parts and alternatives.
• Negotiation of prices and contracts in order to maximise savings potential and contractual commitments for the business.
• Running of and managing MRP recommendations and effectively forecasting of strategic stock requirements and upcoming demand, ensuring flexible Customer requirements support.
• Ensure accuracy of SAGE Master Data (Product Information) for pricing, lead-times and Supplier Contact Information in order to support the company's budget objectives.
• Sourcing reliable Suppliers and managing Supplier performance in order to support on time, on cost on quality requirements for business.
• Attending Supplier Meetings and Supplier Interface Management, ensuring performance management and continuous improvements in the supply chain.
• Providing all relevant feedback of material issues and material measures.
